Show and Tell Quilts

All these quilts have been designed and made by members.  Some are for relatives and some are for Project Linus which is a charity we support by making quilts for very sick and traumatised children in our local hospitals.  Project Linus is a Nationwide Charity and for further information click here:  http://projectlinusuk.org.uk/

Our very clever member who designed and made the above for the Quilters Guild.  As you can see, the back is as lovely as the front.

And now for something a bit different.

And this bag was made by hand.

 Sampler Quilt Workshop Results

Some of these ladies had done very little patchwork and quilting until these workshops.  Their results are amazing, I am sure you will agree.

Underground Railroad Quilts:

 9/11 Remebered

On a recent trip to New York, my husband and I visited the FDNY Museum.  On display was this memorial quilt to remember the New York Firemen who lost their lives in this tragic event.  I hope you enjoy looking at this lovely quilt, every block has a picture of a lost soul, the twin towers or a picture of a Fire Appliance.

These are the talented ladies that worked on this amazing quilt.
