Our Charity Quilts:-

Project Linus:

Project Linus is a charity that we have been supporting for many years, all these quilts have been designed and made by members.  Project Linus is a charity we support by making quilts for very sick and traumatised children in our local hospitals.  Project Linus is a Nationwide Charity and for further information click here:  http://projectlinusuk.org.uk/

Quilts For Injured Servicemen:

Below: This is a pile of quilts, some of which were made by our members for our latest Charity - "Quilts 4 Injured Servicemen".  The injuries some of our soldiers sustain on the battlefield mean they have many months in hospital and then in convalescence before going back to as normal a life as possible.  Quilters try to help them by letting them know that we care by making them quilts.  This picture shows Brenda Lincoln who is the Co-ordinator.  Please scroll down for more examples of our members Servicemen quilts.

When Brenda gets a nice pile of quilts like these, she  passes them on to Headly Court Rehabilitation Centre where they are allocated.  Most of our quilts have Union Jacks on them as our Soldiers are very patriotic

 9/11 Remembered

On a recent trip to New York, my husband and I visited the FDNY Museum.  On display was this memorial quilt to remember the New York Firemen who lost their lives in this tragic event.  I hope you enjoy looking at this lovely quilt, every block has a picture of a lost soul, the twin towers or a picture of a Fire Appliance.
