Welcome to the Log Cabin Quilters, Langford .

We are a group of ladies who all enjoy the hobby of Patchwork and Quilting.  Our group meets at

St Andrew's Church Hall in Langford on alternate Thursday evenings and Friday afternoons.  Our meetings are held from September to July.  Once a year we hold a small exhibition of members work to help raise funds for the Church.  See the "Our Exhibitions" tab on the left to see some photo's and details of the next one.

The atmosphere in the group is very friendly and welcoming and we have mixed abilities.  The hall where we meet is very small and we have many enthusiastic members.

At every meeting we have time set aside for Show and Tell.  You can see some photo's of our members and their work in the Image Gallery.

Please note, we are not a teaching group nor do we have tutors.  If you wish to learn how to patchwork then there are courses on offer at Studio 39 in Baldock or Threads and Patches at Fenny Stratford.  Please see our Useful Links page for further information about these two companies.

Occasionally, we have UFO days  or full day workshops on Saturdays and Tuesdays.  Recent courses have been for Sample Quilts, Sew a Row quilts and Underground Railroad quilts.  Currently, members are working on their own projects.

Some of our members also attend a retreat for several days each year in the Spring when they can benefit from the help of a tutor all day long and sew to their hearts content.
